Patrick Brown
Patrick Brown is currently the Executive Director, Transmission Asset Management (South) for the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO). His responsibilities include developing and overseeing strategies for efficient planning and execution of transmission planning requirements under Joint Operating Agreements. Patrick also provide technical expertise and oversight to the transmission modeling function for the entire MISO system, and leads the selection of developers for projects without a right of first refusal. Patrick is also experienced in developing and implementing corporate compliance programs, with a focus on NERC, FERC, and CFTC regulation, and has a background in Bulk Electric System Operations with generation asset scheduling strategies and interchange scheduling and implementation, as well as the dispatch of the regional transmission system. He holds an MBA from Benedictine University and a Post-Graduate Diploma in International Management from the University of London, and is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame’s Executive Course in Leadership and Management, as well as the University of Idaho’s Utility Executive Course. Patrick has also been awarded an Advanced Certificate in Project Management from Stanford University.
